CHANGELOG

  • Some more stability improvements and bug fixes.
  • We are still at BETA so you might have the occasional problem (or not).

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Synapse: mic volumes reset to -84 the first time you launch synapse but I have included code to reset it to 0. You only have to accept and it will reset to 0.
  • Synapse: Fast charge; For values to stick across reboot, you HAVE to UNCHECK “FAILSAFE” at the bottom of the screen in “FAST CHARGE”.
  • ShadowLED: Works without issues once you deselect led notifications from the ROM settings.
  • VIPER4ANDROID: When you first start your phone, viper4android is off. To fix, you have to launch viper4android so it restarts it’s engine. That issue happens if you have eXpanD activated.
  • N900T WIFI CALLING: Sorry guys, I haven’t had the time yet to look into it and see where the issue is. I hope to get it sorted out on time the release of L10A01.

SUPPORT

  • Absolutely NO kind of support will be given here if you happen to have any issue while you are Overclocked or Undervolted.
  • If you encounter an issue then you will have to reset to stock manufacturer sanctioned settings (300 Mhz to 2.230 Mhz & stock voltages), remove ANY/ALL scripts in /etc/init.d/and reproduce the issue with all debugging turned on (Go to Synapse “SYSTEM DEBUG”).
  • Please use the included SYSLOG APP, select ONLY the first two options and send the ZIP file/upload somewhere so I can have a look at it with a description of what you were doing, what happened and the kind of device, rom version and if you were using XPOSED or not.
  • IF YOU HAVE ISSUES BUT CAN’T PRODUCE A VALID LOGFILE, DON’T BOTHER REPORTING THEM AS I CAN’T GUESS WHAT YOUR PROBLEMS ARE.

    • CeKMTL says:

Look closely at page four of this post and click on the link of your model. If everything goes well your browser should be able to download the Zip file.
Have a backup ready and Thank you for trying ShinTo Kernel

    • CeKMTL says:

Thank you for such kind words but ShinTo Kernel is still considered beta so it’s not yet 100% where I want it to be but soon we will get there

  5. JamesFN says:

Hey I’ve been using aryamod v6 right now (with latest baseband and modem). I was using this kernel and I really really like it, personally best battery and performance I’ve ever experienced…but my problem is I kept getting bootloop constantly when I’m using the kernel with precog gov. Is there any work around? I currently head back to stock firmware right now

    • CeKMTL says:

Best thing would be to provide logs when you have the issues as explained in the post with th2 Syslog app, upload it somewhere and let me know.
Thank you for trying ShinTo Kernel 🙂

  6. Hello to the developer of this shinto kernel.
I tried to flash both the kernel for international version and the other on my n900S version
and felt very unfortunate as it didnt booted up which means it is compatible.
Please I kindly request to you Sir if you can build for, not only n900S, but also some more version of Note 3 with your kernel.
In our thread in xda, particularly darklord S6 port, some of the contributors there uses your kernel and claims that it is very responsive, buttery smooth and battery friendly and made even a screenshot for synapse profiles of there settings.

It would be highly appreciated you could do this in the future. Thank you very much.

    Everything fine sorry

  8. mohamed says:

where is the download link ???????

  9. Pusheka says:

Great kernel. PrecoGov retains many of the most high frequency. Working mostly at high frequency. Does this not lead to higher consumption of battery? Sorry for bad English.

  10. Pusheka says:

PrecoGov. After working a while one core stops working and stays three cores.

  11. philpro says:

i want to fast usb charge and increase the wireless current limit. i uncheck the safe box and set the wireless current to 1000mA. Settings remains after reboot but still only getting a 650mA charge 🙁 ….(measured with galaxy charging current app

  12. Pusheka says:

I apologize for the pointless reviews. I understand design and test it. Thanks.

  13. Pusheka says:

I read everything and thanks for the work and time. I apologize for the inappropriate posts.

  16. Peped94 says:

Can i control this kernel using kernel adiutor ? Or is it mandatory to use synapse ? I didnt like synapse as it is sometime didnt save my setting

    • CeKMTL says:

Synapse is needed for some specific functionality of ShinTo Kernel.
I haven’t tested Kernel auditor myself so I don’t know the ramifications.
I’d advise to make a nandroid backup and try Kernel auditor and see if it works OK and you don’t get any stuck processes (check for sustained 100% cpu usage)

  17. Ive noticed with this kernal version when playing a game the processor doesnt kick up as high as whatbit seems like it needs to.

  18. Hi there 🙂 so I’ve installed a Custom ROM (S6 Darklord v3) and I’m using their built in kernel but it’s quite unstable and I’ve heard so much about Shinto 😀 I wanted to ask 2 questions?
Firstly, if I install the Shinto Kernel, will it erase all of my apps memory?
Secondly, how would one install a kernel on its own? Sorry, I’m new to rooting and all that. I hope you don’t mind explaining 🙂

    • CeKMTL says:

Hi and welcome to ShinTo Kernel!
      1) No it won’t erase your apps memory.
      2) You should check some tutorial at some big android forum for details but basically you have to boot into recovery mode, and install the Zip file just like you did when installing Darklord.
Thank you for trying ShinTo Kernel and have fun

  19. Good Lord!! This thing is flying (except when I type on chrome :/) other than that it’s smooth in all other apps so far! Thanks for the help. Much appreciated!

  20. Kevin says:

Have to say, love this kernel, best battery life I have had on lollipop. Thanks for your hard work and giving this to us.
I get better battery on this rather than your latest version.
